Lightning Sprints Australia (click here) Lightning Sprints Australia Consitution (click here) Know Your Racing Flags (click here) Fire Extinguishers Roll cage Rules The LSA Tech Committee have clarified the specification 18.1 of LSA-001 which reads: 18.1 Rollcage to be constructed of tubing with the minimum size as follows: mild steel 32mm o.d. 2.6mm wall thickness or chrome moly 31.75mm.o.d. 2.38mm (.092”) This specification is to be read that the reference to "minimum size" infers "minimum strength". Therefore rollcages are to be made of either steel with a minimum strength equal to or greater than that of steel tubing with a size of 32mm O.D. x 2.6mm Wall Thickness OR chrome molly with a minimum strength equal to or greater than that of chrome molly tubing with a size of 31.75mm (1.250") O.D. x 2.38mm (.092") Wall Thickness. The minimum O.D. remains as 32mm for steel tubing and 31.75mm for chrome molly tubing.
